Fuel Pressure Regulator

Hi All,

I am looking for suggestions on where to source a replacement/equivalent fuel pressure regulator for a 1977 Beta Coupe (carb)?

It's the regulator located at rear RHS next to the electric fuel pump, see pictures attached, which in my car has started weeping fuel in the last few months.

A standard Malpassi (The petrol king or filter king ones) should do the trick.

Does the car still have the mechanical pump on the block or has that been bypassed?

As far as I know, and I've had the car since 1984, it has only ever had an electric pump - the original electric pump was replaced ~ 15 yrs ago with a noisier aftermarket one.

You have a Facet Solid State Electric pump with a regulator probably set at 3PSI and a tank return. A Malpassi adjustable regulator will do nicely. Note you use a guage for set up then remove the gauge and fit a plug for safety. Interesting  - I wonder if it started life as an ie ? But would have been covnerted very early if you've had it since 84. Good going by the way!

A previous post says that Steve is in Australia. It probably had a Bosch pump in that standard factory position,
and was later fitted with a Facet due to failure.
Although my HPE is a much later Aus-spec model, it had the same set up.

Thanks all for your helpful suggestions, I have located a supplier here (Melb, Aus) so hopefully that will do the trick.

I only ever use those Facet solid state pumps for priming carbs as the full flow rate is suspect for a hungry engine. Facet silver top would be more correct. I would recommend a Malpassi regulator which what I fitted to my VX set up or a filter king which give good fuel filtration - both are adjustable to your carb requirements. BTW it looks like a jubilee clip is missing???...
