Inner wing metalwork question
« on: April 09, 2025, 03:53:25 PM »
Hi

Just trying to sort out the removable panels on the inner front wing on the IE/VX Coupe.

I think I have what I need, which is a large removable panel on the right hand side which has two inspection holes and rubber bungs in it, and a small panel near the brake pipe unions on the left hand side.

Is this all I need as I cannot find them on the fiche pdf which is posted here?

I also have the later inner wing liners which cover most of these.

That sounds right Peter. I posted a photo of my 'new' right hand panel on my '1300 Coupes' thread in 2023. As you say the left panel is smaller.

Peter, hi,

My car has the plastic inner arches in 2 sections, split at the 12 o'clock, which
incorporate the large area on both lower front sides. There is a small metal cover, as mentioned,
around the brake pipes on the left side.

Hi

Thanks Neil and Nigel, still unsure on the this very late front end should it have that large right hand panel or just the wing liner?

Peter

Should have added that my 2000ie's didn't have the metal panels, just the larger plastic wheel arch liners....
