Hi Everyone,
I have finally started getting my Lancia Beta Spyder back together.
As background I bought the car , it failed MOT and then I spent loads of money on it getting it sorted. I then took it apart and am changing the doors, bootlid, bonnet and wings before prepping it for spray.
See pictures below
My question was is there a particular way of fitting the wings?
My wings are new old stock genuine lancia beta wings and when I sit them on the car the do not seem to automatically fit.

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

IIRC spider wings differ from coupe / HPE wings.
I'm sure a quick search on here will give you the answers you need ;)

Hi Simon
When you say 'does not automatically fit' what exactly do you mean?
Certainly the Spyder wings differ from the coupe in that there is a 'cutout' at the bottom to allow the trim to fit. You will see it if you compare an original to the new one. When my wings were fitted we also found this and the guys had to cut them and fabricate to allow it to fit. Mine were only fibreglass, so not the end of the world, but with original metal ones, no idea how difficult it would be.

spider wings are coupé wings but were modified at the factory to fit by cutting off the bottom section and fitting a new piece that came out further to clear the wider spider sill, you need to have these parts made up and actually I'm fairly sure some one supplies them probably Bill Lewis.

Does anyone have any contact details for Bill Lewis or now is member ID please?
Thanks
