Title: Correct alternator drive belt specification for 2L VX
Post by: VXdeMayo on August 31, 2025, 10:33:42 AM
Hello dear friends. I recently found this drive belt in my various new spares box. Is it the correct spec / part number for our VX HPE?
Part number on belt is: AVX10 1140 La.
Distributed by “Veco Automotive. Their stock number is: VD10A1140.

Hello

I am sure someone will have the correct published information, but on my engine I have been using the Gates 6225MC V Belt which is 1125mm in length.
From memory it was at the tighter end of the adjustment.
The other reference I have in my notes is contitech AVX10x1125 V Belt.

Hope that is of some use,
Gerry

The VX belt is more like a normal cambelt, that looks like an alternator belt to my (aged) eyes.

Sorry, my mistake. Yes I am enquiring about the alternator belt spec / part number.
Senior moment.

The alternator belts can vary a little due to the Alternator/pulley size. Not all alternators have the same pulley size and this can make a slight size difference to the belt. Maybe they all came out of the factory as one size and got changed over the years or maybe it depended on the different makes of alternator suppliers Lancia used. I encountered this across all engine sizes and years of production.

Cheers
