Title: Shorter rear struts for swap
Post by: Dynomax on October 13, 2025, 05:35:34 AM
My VX had lowered rear suspension when I bought it and I've now swapped springs for standard ie springs (thanks Peter). However I didn't realise that when the lower springs were done they also shortened the strut damper rods. This was perfectly alright with the lower springs but not with the standard length.
So I have finally changed the struts for standard and thankfully the ride is restored to normal. I now have the short struts available for anyone interested and ideally I would like to swap them for a couple of wheel centre badges.
Thanks Max

How much shorter are they? Any idea what make of struts they are?

They should be great for a Spyder owner with lowered springs to stop motor boat front wheel spin behavior when accelerating. Someone will want these.

Eric,
I don't think the HPE rear struts would work on a Coupe or Spyder,
they are too long, regardless of the length of the damper rods.

It's my mistake I don't think I put which model they are off other than VX, they were actually off my Coupe.
