Title: Shifter knob

What’s the thread on the shifter M10x1.0?
I would like to replace it with something a bit nicer

I've got a wooden knob that my father turned on his lathe
many years ago which fitted on something I was driving back then.
I modified it later to have an 8mm side grub screw, also bored out the centre
to, I think, around 10mm.

I like the personal custom concept , so if you have a friend with a lathe or a local engineering shop
you could have a wood/aluminium/plastic thingy made up to suit.
Alu is a bit touch-cold though, depending on your climate!

Options are endless fun.

I have a spare pre facelift knob which I refurbished a while ago. Probably need to replace the bush as I think thread is different.

If you use the Nardi or Momo 3 grub screw approach you have 100s of interesting choices and you can shorten the lever if you wish. I think from memory I cut off the thread when fitting the short shift kit from Beta Boyz and fitting a Nardi gear knob. It will be in the pictures of my car in Members Cars.

Came with my car.  I will let you know if I like it when I get to drive it in the Summer/Winter
