I finally managed to get back on the site because I was having problems with my password. What's new? My Beta got new shock absorbers last year for a whopping 1,200 euros... The ride is great, but there is one problem, because the car is now one inch higher with a rather bizarre gap between the fenders and the wheels, especially in the front... I jokingly say that I now have a 'crossover Beta'.
This year we will replace both exhaust pipes from Imasaf (formerly the original Lancia supplier), but otherwise I can boast that last year I did not have a single breakdown, and I drove about 2,000 kilometers. I am also attaching a link to a video I recorded last year about me and my Beta. The event took place in Slovenia, unfortunately I don't speak English in the video.

Also, I found an interesting comparison test about betas: https://www.aronline.co.uk/reviews/best-1970s-sports-cars/
Enjoy hanging out with your betas. Best regards Marko

Hi Marko
Welcome back on the forum, glad the password sorted the problem.
On your ride height, did you reuse the old springs or are they all new?

Hello Peter
Yes, when we changed the shock absorbers we kept the original springs. The ride is great, the road holding is also, but the beta is now a bit too high, but I can live with that. I'm attaching some photos of my 'beta scout allroad', hehe
Have a nice rest of the day Marko

I love that colour. The car looks amazing. Other shots under the bonnet and inside?

'beta scout allroad', hehe
Skoda reference? I managed to land the only Skoda Superb Scout 280 Mk3 in the UK somehow... All the rest of the RHD ones went to Australia!

Hi
Your ride height both front and back look way too high, did you compare the strut bodies when you replaced them with the originals? if you used the old springs then the ride height should have been the same.

Greetings. I bought this: https://www.bielstein.com/Stossdaempfer-Federbein-Satz-Hinterachse-Coupe-Spyder
and this: https://www.bielstein.com/Stossdaempfer-Federbein-Satz-Vorderachse
But I didn't replace the other parts. Maybe I should have bought this:

A few more pictures of the interior of the passenger compartment, beta in action and a photo of the engine

Ferrit, thanks for all your kind words about my beta ... I was lucky to find a car in Rome from the first owner, and i wanted to have a 1600 version, because it feels more sporty (short stroke from 1300 and bore from 2000, it revs better) than 2 litre, well that is my opinion, maybe i'm wrong, hehe
Have a nice day, Marko

Some aftermarket Gas struts used to produce this jacked up effect. Given you now have good working struts I suggest you get a set of Lowering springs from Mark at Beta Boyz parts.
