Hi all, I'm about to start the re-wiring project on the car but I'm not planning on using or replicating the original loom. One issue I have already is in relation to the multiples that clip into the back of the gauge cluster. I'd like to replace the connectors within the three plugs rather than chop the existing loom and re-use part of that.
Does anyone know a source for the little 90 degree crimped terminals within the plugs?

That's an interesting question Guy.
I've not had cause to look at those yet. I wonder which other Italian cars use similar.
There must be a source out there.
I'd first check my go-to outlets: Vehicle Wiring Products and Polevolt, but also
Ebay, although what search words to use?
The terminal will have an unusually wide gripper as it has to go over a plastic support plus
printed circuit tab thicknesses. And not too strong that it rips upon removal.
I'd be inclined to attempt reuse if none found, rather than making cable joints.

If these are the same as the pre facelift instrument connectors, you will be hard pressed to find them. For the ones I have I contacted the manufacturer and got a big do not even recognise them reply and the pins are very unusual.
My solution was to strip the wires from the connector and remove carefully the connectors from the wire so I can reuse them. I do have some spare ones if you need them.

These are definitely NLA in my experience having crawled all over the online Auto electrical suppliers in the UK. Maybe in Italy?

Thanks both, I was at Simtek in Rochdale yesterday speccing the wiring modules for the car and took that part of the loom with me. There was a lot of sucking of teeth there too but he took pictures and said he'd have a look/think about it. Given the fragility of the circuit board my initial thoughts are, if the connectors are no longer available, I'll be snipping the loom I have to leave a reasonable tail and fitting a single multiplug so that these connection never have to be disturbed again. And if that fails I may secure the board to the casing with Sikaflex and find a suitable solution with soldering direct to the pathway or a connector riveted on.
