Anyone experienced and/or fixed a clicking speedo at 40mph? Its a new cable and I am sure its seated correctly and I have had the speedo out when I swapped my dash to a working mph unit

I found that routing is key.
It is possible to get the cable in quite a straight line from
the cluster to the exit grommet through the fire wall. Much manipulation
of wiring loom is necessary to achieve this. Once a clear line is created,
some tying up and down is needed to stop the loom from putting future
pressure on the speedo cable.
On the engine side, allow it to sit in a natural pair of curves down to the diff.

Thats worth a check Nigel. Engine bay side the original clip is in place behind the fusebox, and think its okay. I will double check. Inside I bet you are right.
Cheers, Mark

I'd forgotten about that clip, as it happens I'm not using it.

checked all that last night. It looks like I have kinked the cable when fighting to get it screwed down on the g'box (new cable turns out had a mangled thread from manufacture), when I first fitted it.
Run out early doors its the same. So new cable again and try that before heading to the speedo. Old cable and old kmph speedo was fine
