Title: show me your horns! :-)
Post by: Ferrit on August 30, 2026, 10:53:02 AM
I have a pair of old airhorns I am cleaning up to replace the current, can someone post a picture on how the compressor and horns should be fitted?

There's a bracket on the inner left wing that has the compressor mounted behind it with the horns infront. There are a couple of types of horn, the trumpet style on the early cars and a snail type on the later cars. There are photos on my thread but nothing that clearly shows it. If you've got the same type as I do I'll drag myself into the garage and get a photo later. Currently laid up with a back strain...

These are the horns on 1981 Coupe, as Guy says front left corner just behind the headlights.

Exactly how mine is attached! I really ought to try some putting some power to it to see if it works....

Have you got one yet Mark? If the one in my car works then I may have a spare one knocking about somewhere. But you'll have to wait a bit until I'm fully mobile again!
