Lancia Beta Dashboard binnacle: How can I improve the illumination?

Dear All,
I am sure someone out there will know how I can improve and increase the brightness of the dash binnacle, as mine is woefull, and I would like to know what is going on at night etc!
If I were to remove steering wheel and binnacle, is it possible to uprate the bulb wattage and how please?

The clocks from the late cars had much brighter lights, all you have to do is swap your odometer over.

Then you get to see what's going on!
