Downpipe
« on: September 11, 2013, 10:32:16 PM »
I seem to be getting a exhaust leak from the twin flexible part of the downpipe, hard to detect but noticeable when accelerating and sounds more like an induction roar.

I see that the earlier cars have no flexible...have there been an issue with cracking exhaust/manifold, and hence the later fitment of a flexible?

Does anyone have a downpipe for a 2000ie Coupe?

Yes, the solid pipe stresses the manifold fixings.

It's always the same...as soon as you polish your motor, it'll breakdown.  I have a stainless system from the downpipe, but I may have to replace the downpipe with stainless.

(wait for paypal request)
