Hi Eric

Looking back at your photos I noticed a bank of coils near plug, what are you using for them?

Hi Peter

Well spotted. The more modern solution would be coil on plug as modern petrol cars have. I went 1 generation earlier from American V8 with short HT leads.
This is coil per cylinder and part of my ECU being able to trim ignition to each individual cylinder. This is very useful with the VX where the airflow is un balanced.  I used VX/IE Cam covers which come with handy mounting lugs.

NB most Beta Owners will be absolutely fine with Wasted Spark ignition and batch fuel injection

Just confirm I am still alive even if the car is in hiding under it's dust sheet. Soon the Monte fix is done and it is game on at last.

And soon the Solar panel install is done and I have my garage back for the games to re-comence.

Lovely build.  Is the interior now in?  I would love to see it finished.  That re-trim is lovely

Hi Mark,

Sadly the interior is just behind me in my office. The major works on my house have stopped all progress. With the Solar install next week and the tidy up that follows I will be back at it in July.

Some photos of VERY slow progress

Just ordered a wing protector just like yours.  Treat to myself  :D

I have read your build from start to finish last night.  The car is is going to be amazing.  Looking at the dash out wiring work I am going to plan something similar on my car for the future.  It might be next winter project.  Where did you get your little fuse and relay box from?  I want to fit a stereo and want to bring some fresh power into the passenger footwell and need a distribution point.  Have you moved any further on recently?

PoleVolt or Vehicle Wiring Products I suspect. There are many modular options. I could have used smaller relays and fuses and achieved a more compact solution as Peter did.
