Where does this part go on a Coupe (FL2 VX if that is important...)??

It sort of looks like the round bit should go around something like the fuel tank main pipe as it heads through the boot floor

It goes to the side of the radiator. The round cut out is for the temp sender on the IE/VX radiators

You could be right. But I cannot find it in the (poor) microfiche parts book....

You will find 2 Nylon blocks or if they are missing 2 squares in the front panel metal work that line up nicely. It is to force air through the radiator and ensure proper cooling. There should be 1 each side.
