Headlights
« on: May 09, 2013, 09:29:33 PM »
I've seen a previous post regarding certain makes of headlights, however I have come across 2 pairs of Hella lights - 1 pair of main beam and 1 pair of dipped with the integrated side lights. Does anyone know if these were fitted as standard to any particular beta?

Thanks
Simon

As far as I know only Carello and Siem units were mounted. However I have seen an HPE headlamp aim actuator made by Cibie...  8)

My previous Spider with the four lamp setup used Cibie. I think they might have been OE on some Berlinas too.

The plot thickens...............again.

It would be useful if there was a definitive guide on this matter, as I'm sure many of us struggle to get a complete 4 lamp settup working (and looking good). I personally have seen many examples of bodged mounting plates (with extra drilled holes etc) to accomodate incorrect lamp lenses from the wrong makers. I am not alone in having several lenses / mounting plates that don't make any sense! Can Rossocorsa help via the parts database perhaps?
It would be a really useful guide.
Best,

Our Lancia dealer in Norway in the -80's used to replace the headlights with Bosch and Hella.
The square headlights from -76 was allmost impossible to get...and very expensive

Thanks guys,

It seems as though there may have been several different makes especially when it came to replacing the originals.

I had a quick look at the parts books , too complicated for me to find time to list all variations as it  would take forever to do! The series 2 coupé /hpe oblong lights were Siem on HPE and Carello on coupé except that 2litre HPE for Sweden had Carello. I have only seen reference to Cibie on berlinas. If anyone wants specific detail on part numbers for a particular car please put a request in the part number section and I will look it up
