'How many left'?
« on: March 12, 2022, 06:40:01 PM »
There was a topic on another forum I visit relating to the 'How many left' website (https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk, so I just popped in the search phrase Lancia Beta and hit enter. Results are shown below. What really surprised me was that for virtually every variant, there were more cars 'on the books' sos to speak in 2021 than there were 10 years earlier in 2011. So quite a healthy situation it would appear.
1980 Lancia Beta Spider 2000 (S2FL)
2002 VW Transporter T4
2017 KTM Duke 690R
2008 Aprilia SL1000 Falco
1992 Ducati 888 SP3
1988 Honda VFR750F
1980 Yamaha RD350LC

People rescuing cars that were never on SORN I suppose.  Don't forget that DVLA has later Betas registered as just Lancia Coupe or Lancia HPE after the Beta name was dropped by Lancia.

My HPE won't be on that list as it's registered as just a Lancia.

I sent my V5C to DVLA many months ago to correct 2 errors and a change of colour
but no response so far.
The other error is in the VIN. It's starts 2LA instead of ZLA!

1984 2.0 Carb HPE [ex Aus] Grigio Finanza.
2007 Mazda 6 2.3 [current daily, highly recommended]
The past:
1980 2.0 HPE White in South Africa [hope it survives!]
1976 1.6 Coupe Lancia Blu [PFG 76R] [probably deceased]
oh,and an Uno Turbo 1997 also in SA [stolen, never recovered]

Yes, I realise that figures on web sites like that are highly speculative. It just seemed a pleasant surprise to see the numbers going up, not down! Stuart’s point about Betas being rescued that were never on SORN makes sense. We've seen a few in recent months on this forum.

Do those figures include those on SORN?

THey don't but on the site you can click on them to get the details for SORN vs Taxed aver the last few years for each model. In general both the SORN and Taxed numbers are going up.

There have also been a number of imports for sale in the UK which could contribute to an increase the numbers registered.
1995 Dedra 2.0 16v SW
1987 Y10 Fire
1977 Beta Spider 1.6
1962 Flaminia Berlina 2.5
