Why dont many good cars (Beta's inc) come up for sale?

I spent two years looking and didnt see any mint ones in the UK.  I have now met owners at events and there are plenty about, just odd why they never come up for sale.  Plenty of projects.

Simple answer is there are not that many good ones and the owners tend to hang on to them, especially as they tend not to be that valuable, but have to put significant amounts into them to get them up to a good level.
