Thank you for this Alex I will 10w60 a go.  Filter wise I have a oil filter housing the same as a VX and am limited with clearance to the subframe.  I didnt know there was filters with NRV and filters with 2x NRV.  I will investigate if I can get something similar.

If you are using VX size filter WIX seem to be good, weighty and well made. I've never heard of a double non return valve either, how is that achieved?

I was going purely on the basis that more is better and the double non-return valve benefits are: (according to AI as I didn't really know) "A single non-return (anti-drainback) valve retains oil in the filter when the engine is off to prevent dry starts. A double non-return valve adds a second valve on the clean side, which further prevents oil from draining backward out of the center core and reduces messy oil spills during filter changes".

Ah Mark - if you have the VX setup you may need a smaller filter to clear the subframe - this one from Eurosport seems to be right for the job - Mark W lists them too:  https://www.eurosport-uk.net/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=51_54&products_id=1087&srsltid=AYCX9vJJYZ8yier_Ydyf0V8oyHosb6YYw0CgsfrTmSIUDNh4UKdyuLmm

I use Millers 10-60 FS Nano in all my Lancia Fulvias with no complaints or issues. I intend to use it when I come to give (in the v near future) my VX coupe its first oil change in my ownership (zero miles since buying but 170k on the clock) unless folk here think that is not a good idea. I know Nigel uses something cheaper (Mannol?) but with my experience of Millers with its triple ester which purports to keep oil seals pliable..... Any comments?

Quite right Tim.
I've since been reading about the sanctions-busting escapades of Mannol
in Private Eye, hence why it was cheaper than others. I see it is now
only available from EU based suppliers. My conscience is clear as I bought it
long before this info surfaced. And I've still got 15 litres to use up.

On filters, I also use the VX short and wide Mann W914/2, mostly
for ease of access, but also as it has a one-way valve.

Seems a good idea due to the position of the beta filter, after a bit of investigation
this evening it turns out that Wix and Mann are part of the same group
