Outside Storage Cover

Unfortunately I am going to have to leave my Spyder outside whilst work is being undertaken to the house and garage
Does anyone know of a good tailored outside cover for the Beta that wont leave the car in a worse situation than the weather would ?
Something that will keep it dry and clean but not cause it to "sweat" and remove the paint

I'd think about builiding a frame (wood is cheapest) that allows free air circulation, and then use something like heavy duty DC plastic stapled to the frame. It would probably need either some form of weighting down or physically fixing to the floor. It does all depend on the surface on which you intend to store the car, of course.

I has two Betas at the time. As stated, the one under the cover survived the winter better than the one in the damp garage.....

Perhaps have a look at an Outdoor Carcoon as the best preservation approach followed by a machine mart temporary garage with a desiccant dehumidifier in it. NB the Fridge type de-humidifier will not function well in cold conditions.

I have an outdoor cover from Specialist covers and it is excellent. But anything that wraps round the car and has some heating and drying will be better than any cover because of damp rising from the ground.

I have been using a high quality Gazebo to build my car but it does not solve damp on the ground or condensation. The de-humidifier transformed the damp and condensation challenge.

I kept my Spyder in a Carcoon for about 15 years. It did a good job because it circulates the air which helps prevent condensation. I used to leave the windows open and the roof down whilst in storage to make sure the interior got some flow. The rapid change from freezing cold, to warm & damp (just like this weekend) is the worst case that we have to deal with when storing cars.
 
When I took the car to pieces a few years ago - I was amazed at how good a condition it was in - thanks to the Carcoon. It's in a heated garage now - which it more than deserves. I always keep a couple of Carcoons standing by though for when space is tight.
