Hi Nigel

I checked the wiring diagram and there does not appear to be a bypass on the ballast resistor, though multiple connections to it, so no real idea why it is included tbh.

I have an old/spare ignition switch if you want to try for the hell of it one day?  I only replaced it because it was cheaper than getting spare keys cut :-)

I'm fairly sure I still have my original here, which I changed because..age.

An intensive ignition wiring study is happening tomorrow.....

I'm using a Fiat 126 ignition switch that can still be bought new.
