I'd stay clear of the Hella units as it seems they've changed how they work a couple of years back - this has caused endless grief as it's been proven the ignition retards as revs increase!  There's a whole Ferrari-chat thread on the Hella module demise and folk who've tested them.  Even new Marelli ones been unreliable as they're now just re-brands (mako?). I think the conclusion was the Pertronix D2000 is the next best (but pricey) alternative.  I've used an intermotor 15210, but can't say the spark is as good as an original GM module, a Pertronix beckons...

Pretty sure you're looking at 82369531 for the Lancia code.

Thanks for this info.

I thought the advance was provided by the distributor and the Marelli module was just a switching amplifier for the coil???

Anyone???

Yes, that's right, the module shouldn't enter into it - but what appears to happen with the later hellas is the switch off / de-energise point doesn't stay in line with the input and progressively delays as the rpm increases, hence gives the weird effect of retarding the ignition.  The hella module looks to have been the go-to replacement as it had decent current handling.
