I had booked it into L&M this morning but my problem is 1hr to get there but 3+ hrs to get home on the train.

Just found these people recommended by Webcon and they are really close to home

anyone heard of them, they are in Woking

I dont know if these can help but cant her to ask if its accessible enough for you. They deal in Japanese more modern but may be able to tune or point you in the right direction

I had a dealing with them in 2010 but do know others that speak very highly of them

Alex mentioned a local Webber dealer to me, and low and behold they had a link to these guys.

They are in Woking = easy-peasey

Looking at Webcon's prices as I look towards the Twin 40 DCOE route for my coupé I stumbled across Classic Carburettors who are offering the 40 DCOE with a significant saving.

https://classiccarbs.co.uk/product/weber-40dcoe-151-carbcarburettor-newgenuine-twin-40-weber-jetted-to-your-spec/

Reading through I think the 151's are a better bet than the 18k's

Geeze that is so tempting.  Make a list of all the parts you buy for me please :-)

Today I was double checking my jets I fitted when I rebuilt my carb in the Winter, just making sure I hadnt put them in the wrong way (I hadnt), I tried a few of the old jets which I think would be a leaner setting.  It did feel better.  I will take it for a careful drive if the rain keeps away tomorrow.

From memory EuroCarb's website is dearer than their eBay store.
