Find a generic holder you can bolt to a spare ashtray?

Not looking at this for now but I will be thinking a design for a 3d printed version.

I just use one of the small magnetic holders plugged into the air vent in front of the gear stick.

On my saloon I use a suction cup phone holder to the windscreen which works well especially if you don't own a Go-Pro and want to do a spot of filming. It also has a vent clip which I use (for now) in my Golf. Due to the dimensions of the phone/ holder / windscreen and rake of windscreen vs dashboard I am not entirely sure how successful it will be in the Coupe. Here, I will either need a different suction cup setup or another thought i've had is to repurpose a SAAB telephone "ear" (possibly the 9-3 part no: 12791202 version as it is smaller) just below the vents and fit it with a brodit clip with a small discreet USB charging cable.
