Anyone used a CJ Autos tilting car lift?
« on: April 12, 2026, 06:22:29 PM »
Hi All

Thinking of getting one of these

Just wondered if anyone has experience of using one.

Due to space limitations in the garage I need something which I can keep under the car, but can move out of the way easily and this looks to be a solution.

Yes I had one of these and gave it away going back to trolley jacks and SGS high stands until I can get a proper hydraulic seizor lift sunk into my garage floor. They are bulky and heavy making moving them a pain (I am not a small person). Some in the range are better than others, but you will work a drill hard lifting the car. Darren Cooksey has a lot of experience with these. The tilt facility is useful for access that would be hard without it.

PS I tried the hydraulic ramps at one point as well. Boy did they leak which did not inspire confidence.

Thanks Eric, good for thought. I do like the tilt idea however
