Not like that. I suspect your car has a LHD cable fitted?

Your cable is too long.
I can't photo it right now but mine takes a fairly straight, slightly curvy route
from the bulkhead.
Yours even looks too long to be an LHD version, so if it came with the car
those Seffricans fitted what they could find.

You may be able to have one made up by a specialist.

Ricambio in Surrey has 3 different choices listed, depending
on the length. It says LHD only, but if it fits better than what you've got......

Yep, pretty sure you have the wrong size throttle cable in there.

Also, the cup holder you have in your expansion tank is just so cool....very handy....want one.

Cheers

I didn't measure it but the routing is similar to Steves above.

You will see an extra bracket I fitted to align the cable with the entry point
on the bulkhead. I felt it may prevent premature wear.

Like the bracket TVM

Anyone have the process for removing the cable?  Never done it before, I am guessing limbo your head under the dash ;-)

As for a procedure to load in a new throttle cable.....I would definitely attach a "pull through" string so that you can pull a new cable through the same path. Not sure which end to pull but the cable ends are not that big so should be quite straight forward.

I have attached a pic of a replacement cable which I never needed / fitted (impulse spares purchase). Looks like it may be easier to pull the cable out from the engine bay side. The cable is approx 65 cm end-to-end.

I did replace my speedo cable which was a very tense operation as the ends of the speedo cable are quite bulky and therefore difficult to thread. The pull through string saved the day for sure.

Cheers,

Steve

Found my cables. None new but I do have two the same length as listed above. If you haven't sourced one yet Mark I can pop it in the post next week?
