Weber 40DCOE recommendations

Hi all. Have finished working on my other car and finished my road trip so have got some time to focus on my Beta. It came already with a set of Weber DCOE40's on it, so just started stripping them yesterday. My issue is that I've never worked on carbs before and am not sure of the best setup to go for them. I have found a carb calculator (https://www.carbparts.eu) which gives me certain settings, but the jets/choke that are already in mine seem completely different to this. Am I best just sticking with what I have and getting a service kit or going with what the site recommends? I can share what the site recommends vs what is installed if that would help

Whilst there will be a suggested starting point, for this configuration I would think a rolling road session with a competent carb tuner would be your best bet. If the setup you have came working with the engine etc then start with that would be my view.p, then get it checked/tuned.

I presume it was working at some point. The engine had a compression issue plus carbs needed cleaning so can't say for sure how well it might have worked before it fell into disrepair

Strip clean and install a service kit. Use an ultra sonic cleaner if you can and take lots of photos for the rebuild.
