Cam-Belt tensioner spring bolt replacement
« on: August 15, 2025, 10:14:40 PM »
When I was doing the Can-Belt I sort of broke the hexagon bolt thingy that supports the spring.  I hardly touched it, honest!

Any thoughts where I can get one?  I have been searching Fiat and Lancia suppliers but not found one yet.

Nigel from the Fiat 131 rebuild YT page suggested a bolt with a locknut.  I will compare the diameter when I get home.  If that works I will start thinking about getting the broken thread out.

Hi Mark

I should have a spare one from the engines I stripped. Will check later today.

Yay!  All done.

made a very slight groove in it with a Dremel.  Pluz-Gas and then its slowly came out.  Thanks Peter for the replacement.
