Hi Gareth,

I can't comment on rear bushes as mine is still standard.

However I've got poly bushes on the front wishbones and anti-roll bar.
They stiffen things up, creating a more positive feel, but they tend
to amplify any other, even standard factory anomalies that may be present. This includes
random knocking and clunking, of which I have, as yet undiagnosed. It
continually passes mots, and when I mentioned this to the tester his
comment was exactly that without any prompting.
I'm ok with what I've got, but if I was to rebuild again in the future I'd use rubber.

After all, that's how the set up was designed 50 years ago. It's a really
good system in factory specs. Like you, I'm also after comfort over anything else.

you can get rubber bushes...Harder to find mind, and expensive.

If the poly's are only say 20% harder thats exceptable to me but i wouldnt want to go much stiffer...i was just after some feedback from people that fitted polys and what the ride is like ect

Im wary i suppose as i had an Alfa 916 poly bushed and spoiled the car for me. But not all poly bushes are equal. Tough choices  :o

The shape of the Poly Bushes matters for the front wishbones if you have more power. Betas can torque steer alarmingly from the wishbones squirming. I experienced this with a very nice Guy Croft engine installed. Decades ago Barry Waterhouse was supplying Nylon cups to fill out the Factory design bushes. This is why Mark made Bushes without the taper. Note I agree very hard bushes belong on the race track.
