Brake pad wear cable retaining clip
« on: July 21, 2026, 08:25:37 PM »
Hi

I guess a lot of folk may not have the wear sensors installed, however if you do then the wire originally was attached to one of the brake hoses via a rubber loop. When the hoses are replaced then this loop is often lost. I originally used loom tape to attach the wire to the hose, however this is not too effective after a few years of use, so decided to make a clip to attach to the brake hoses and accommodate the wire. The photo is of a prototype in PLA, the ones I will use are in black PETG.

On mine I was able to reuse the rubber ones over the new hoses,
but this idea is excellent Peter. And better than tape as it allows
the wire to move within the clip.

Great work Sir!
