I just read a few posts below, I think someone answered my question.  I guess the trim is welded onto the inside of the door?  Can I remove it without taking the window out?

Hi

Both the inner and outer window scraper are attached to the stainless trimwhich run the full length of the door, ie at the bottom of the window and the small triangular window. They are both simply held i by friction ie the stainless trim is an inverted U shape over the edge of the door and you just carefully need to pull it upwards to remove it. Then when both are removed you can remove the window glass.
