Apparently Replying To Speed Awareness is that Amphetamine is not the right response! A Speed limit is not a target repeat until you groan is ahead if you go for that option which I did some years ago. I think it unlikely you were a danger to anyone, but it is far easier to catch people drifting over the limit on wide pen motorways like the M40. We feel your pain.

Good result , just don't argue with them.

In particular if they show the stopping distances video don't cite the figures from a 1976 Motor road test of a Capri showing that even then they were wrong... ;)

(FWIW the thinking distance given in the highway code is almost certainly too short while the stopping distance is comically long so at lower speed the actual stopping distance is likely longer while at 50 and above its shorter)

Bugger.

Speeding ticket dropped through the letter box today. Fortunately not from a section of the road we convoyed on. M40 on the way home. That'll teach me to use cruise control more....

Ahhh nuts! If it's any consolation Guy - I got done on the way down to track day. I thankfully took the speed awareness course option instead of points. I was quite impressed with the quality of the photos of my Berlina speeding through Sussex!  ;D ;D  ;D

you should be banned from any other engine size, 1300 is fast enough for you :-)
