modified suspension
« on: February 19, 2010, 12:32:28 PM »
well, I've tried anyway (fitting for Gamma but would equally suit  Beta)

units came from a subaru WRX STI (had to lay out £25.00 for a s/hand set)

That looks fairly close to the beta rears.

Oh hang on.....you've added the bottom lancia fittings to the scooby units haven't you?

Yes, seemed the easiest/cheapest way to get what I wanted, they'll be seam welded before use.

Great work. Did you just use guesswork for the sizing of the scoob units or were they just at the right price? 25 quid is seriously cheap!!

I sort of reasoned that as the Subaru used a similar engine and was a similar weight
that the units would be close enough to the Gamma, then I decided that at  £25.00
there was no great loss in  "aving a go"  I knew the s/hand units had blown inserts
but still £25.00 for Cusco adjustable coilovers well........ ;D

well, suspension now installed

cusco/gamma struts, golf front inserts, cavalier rear inserts (actually cavalier fronts fitted to gamma rear)
